East Lake Highrise

Built in 1971, this high-rise housing community is made up of 150 apartments for senior and young disabled. Atlanta Housing and Columbia Residential utilized the Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) program to convert units from HUD public housing to Section 8 housing choice voucher. All households are being offered permanent displacement relocation assistance in order to close the entire property for a 15-month construction period. All households are being tracked throughout the construction period and will be offered first right to return to the redeveloped property once renovations are complete.
