The Villages of East Lake

Built in the mid-1990s, this historic mixed income housing community has 542 units including town homes, duplexes, and garden apartments. This partnership between East Lake Foundation, City of Atlanta, Atlanta Housing, Georgia Department of Community Affairs, Truist Bank, and Columbia Residential represents one of the largest preservations of affordable housing in the state of Georgia. All households were relocated temporarily onsite to vacant units for approximately 30 days in phases over an 18-month period. Relocated project completed in November 2022.
